It’s summertime, which -especially in Amsterdam- means an overkill of outdoor activities and one million people praying for that one in a million chance of a rain-free day.
So we have good news and bad news and good news. The good news is that the 4th edition of the Wild West Brew Fest is coming up this Saturday the 22nd of July , hosted by El Jefe Primo Salsa. The bad news is, that it will probably rain. The good news is that you can drown your sorrows in beer. Fifteen local breweries and eight food trucks will provide craft beer and good food. There will be music, live wrestling and even a hot pepper eating contest.
Bad news: hot pepper burns like hell. Good news: alcohol soothes the pain. True story.
The brewers attending are:
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen
De Kromme Haring
Two Chefs
Oedipus
Troost
Neobosski
LOC Brewery
James Brews
Penose Brouwerij
De 7 Deugden
Westside Brewing
Brouwerij de Afleiding
Poesiat & Kater
FuzBräu
Bear Cider
Some of these breweries are easy to find in the supermarkt, but some of them, like James Brews, are hobby brewers whose beers can only be found at festivals like these, so make sure to pop by somewhere during the day.
The festival will be held from 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm at the Bos en Lommerplantsoen in Amsterdam’s wild wild west area.
